Places to Publish Children’s Poetry Writing

Nearly all children who hear and read a lot of poetry will naturally try writing poetry, too. A few children will even love writing poetry enough to want to try share their work in some public venue. Here are a variety of print and online sources that include writing by children and teens. One note: be sure to guide young writers through the submission process and prepare them for possible rejection. Be encouraging and have fun with poetry!

The list begins:

Creative Kids
P O Box 8813
Waco, TX 76144

New Moon: The Magazine for Girls and Their Dreams
34 E. Superior St. Suite 200
Duluth, MNL 55802

For more details, get your copy of The Poetry Teacher’s Book of Lists.
And if you already have the book and would like to offer additions, corrections, or other input, please do so in the COMMENTS area. Thanks!
