Peter and Iona Opie were a husband and wife team who had extensive careers as folklorists and authors, known for establishing a world class collection of some 20,000 works written or published for children ranging from the 16th to the 20th century (mainly British) as a private research resource. The Opie Collection has been microfiche formatted by University Microfiche International and subsequently distributed by them. Several individual items are also available in book form as listed below.
